Job Summary:
Pertemps Bond is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Coordinator to join our team. As a key player in our procurement function, you will be responsible for planning and prioritizing supply activities, collaborating with various departments, and managing UK Extrusion procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement procurement strategies.
- Review and analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Manage procurement processes, including requisitioning, ordering, and tracking inventory levels.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
- Provide support to the Procurement Specialist with procurement functions, including holiday/absence cover.
- Track and analyze order acknowledgments, prepare and communicate shortage and backlog reports, and ensure internal customers are informed of potential interruptions.
- Review, update, and maintain purchase orders until closure.
- Ensure orders comply with supplier agreements and contracts, and report any non-conformances.
- Assist finance and logistics staff in resolving reception and invoice discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and implement actions to achieve them.
Requirements:
- Experience with SAP is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly MS Office; Excel skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
