Financial Controller Opportunity

Grafton Banks Finance is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a large PE backed construction group, based in Swanley, Kent.

About the Role

The Financial Controller will report directly to the Finance Director and will be responsible for managing a small team that provides financial leadership to the £300m turnover business. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience in financial accounting and management reporting, as well as a proven track record of managing small teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Month-end close and journal preparation, and/or review, to strict schedules.
  • Processing monthly contract accounting.
  • Overhead reporting.
  • Cash and contract budgeting and forecasting support, and coordination.
  • Balance Sheet management.
  • Supporting tenders and business planning.
  • Involvement in the development of new ERP/IT systems.
  • Assisting with audit requirements.
  • Ensuring VAT, CIS, and PAYE compliance.
  • Managing and developing the small finance team.

This is a highly rewarding role that offers a competitive salary of up to £90,000, plus benefits including private healthcare, pension, and 25 days holiday. The role is based in our clients' offices in Swanley, Kent, with hybrid working offered, with 3 days per week expected in the offices.
