Purpose and Scope

The Management Accountant will play a key role in providing high-quality management information to support the Property Services finance function. This will involve working closely with the Finance Director, Financial Controller, and Management Accountants to ensure timely and accurate delivery of management reports.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure management information is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  2. Support the development and maintenance of accounting systems and reporting processes.
  3. Collaborate with the Finance Director and Financial Controller to provide divisional management information in line with Group and pillar MD requirements.
  4. Assist with bi-weekly cash flow forecasts and support the Financial Controller in various tasks, including month-end reporting, journal preparation, and contract accounting.
  5. Contribute to budgeting and re-forecasting processes and support tenders and business planning as required.
  6. Perform ageing WIP analysis and balance sheet reconciliations for ULPS, ULN, and ULS.
  7. Participate in the development of ERP/IT systems and document support processes and procedures.
  8. Ensure full VAT and CIS compliance and escalate issues as necessary.
Requirements
  • Interest in and experience in commercial/project accounting and management reporting.
  • Ability to work across disciplines (Commercial, Construction, and Group Finance).
  • Studying towards a recognized finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA).
  • Accurate and numerate with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Desirable
  • Experience operating variants of Microsoft Dynamics NAV platforms.
  • Knowledge of JET reporting.
  • Relevant industry or PE experience.
  • Experience of change management – introduction of new systems and processes.
Local Variation

The role will be based in Swanley, with possible 2-3 days of travel per month to other Property Services offices, subject to current UL homeworking rules.
