**About Us**

1-Stop Design Shop, Inc. is a leading international M&E consultancy with a proven track record in low energy design, focused on providing excellent design solutions to clients.

We are seeking an experienced Senior / Principal Engineer to be based in our NE office. The ideal candidate will have experience in the delivery of European data centres and mission-critical projects, as well as other sector experience including process pharmaceutical, healthcare, commercial, labs, and/or clean rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  1. **Project Management**: Responsible for the running of large projects, undertaking a client-facing role in the development, design, and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical or Electrical installations, systems, equipment, facilities, etc.
  2. **Design and Specification**: Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes.
  3. **Survey and Testing**: Surveys, tests, and carries out dilapidation reports on existing electrical/mechanical installations.
  4. **Quality Assurance**: Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
  5. **Client Liaison**: Day-to-day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with and provides advice to clients.
  6. **Technical Representation**: Represents the Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractors' teams.
  7. **Engineering Standards**: Ensures engineering calculations and drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards.
  8. **Team Leadership**: Leads on the coordination of engineering services.
  9. **Holistic Approach**: Takes a holistic view in the selection and application of engineering concepts and solutions.
Requirements
  1. **Education**: BSc/BEng or degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or have sufficient equivalent experience.
  2. **Experience**: Significant experience of specification design for several building types.
  3. **Technical Skills**: Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.). Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software.
  4. **Project Delivery**: Support the delivery of projects in accordance with the expectations of the Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management, QA/QC, and Technical Review perspective.
