Job Summary

Contechs is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to drive technological advancements within the mobility sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the engineering, development, and validation of various electrical modules (ECUs, Sensors, and Actuators) into the overall vehicle electrical architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Functional Departments, technical partners, and Tier 1 suppliers to integrate electrical modules into the vehicle electrical architecture.
  • Manage compliance with functional safety, legislative, electrical, environmental, and EMC requirements.
  • Coordinate supplier management, including support for Procurement, Logistics, and Quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deliver commodity budgets through regular supplier liaison and tracking DVP status.
  • Lead DFMEA, DVP&R (Electrical & Mechanical), PV, and Engineering sign-off.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in automotive electrical components' design, development, and manufacture.
  • Good experience and knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, ECUs, and other electrically wired components.
  • Working knowledge of CAN, FlexRay, automotive ethernet, LIN networks, and vehicle diagnostics.
  • Experience in design for good electrical and EMC performance.
  • Established contacts within the automotive ecosystem, including Tier 1 and component suppliers.
  • Knowledge of hybrid and full-electric electrical vehicle architectures and wiring systems.
  • Experience with visualization tools, such as CATIA V5 or V6, and excellent understanding of 2D drawings and electrical circuits.
  • Experience in creating Engineering Change Requests and managing the implementation of changes through design release.
  • Experience in system/component delivery within an APQP, six sigma, or similar framework.
  • Experience in leading DFMEA and System (Electrical Interface) Reviews.
  • Ability to use various engineering development tools, such as JIRA, Polarion, and collaborative platforms like Microsoft Office 365.
Education

Honour's Degree in Electrical or similar areas, such as Electronics, Control Systems, or Automotive.
