Fleet Administrator Job Description

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of a company's fleet of vehicles. This role involves coordinating vehicle maintenance, repairs, fuel management, and driver compliance. You will work closely with drivers, maintenance staff, and other departments to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and Coordinate Vehicle Maintenance: Plan and execute vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure optimal fleet performance.
  • Track and Manage Maintenance Costs: Monitor and control maintenance expenses to minimize costs.
  • Ensure Compliance with Vehicle Safety Regulations: Verify adherence to safety standards and regulations.
  • Monitor Fuel Consumption and Costs: Track fuel usage and expenses to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement Fuel-Saving Strategies: Develop and implement initiatives to reduce fuel consumption.
  • Manage Fuel Cards and Fuel Records: Oversee fuel card management and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate Driver Training and Compliance: Schedule and conduct driver training sessions to ensure compliance with driving regulations.
  • Track Driver Performance and Conduct Performance Reviews: Monitor driver performance and conduct regular reviews.
  • Manage Driver Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate driver records and documentation.
  • Analyse Fleet Usage Data: Examine fleet usage data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement Strategies to Reduce Fleet Costs and Improve Efficiency: Develop and implement initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Manage Relationships with Vehicle Suppliers, Maintenance Providers, and Fuel Suppliers: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Prepare and Analyse Fleet Performance Reports: Create and analyse reports to track fleet performance.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
  • Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Management, Logistics, or a Related Field: Possess a degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Procedures: Have knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Certification in Fleet Management or Logistics: Hold a certification in fleet management or logistics.
Qualifications:
