Empowering Learning Ltd: SEMH Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic Learning Support Assistants to work in our fantastic SEMH Schools in East London and surrounding boroughs.

Our SEMH Schools cater for students with SEMH, ASC, ADHD, and additional learning difficulties. We aim to create an atmosphere of mutual respect and resilience that supports our students to grow into purposeful young adults, so they are able to contribute to society in a positive way.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEMH, ASC, ADHD, and additional learning difficulties in a dynamic and creative learning environment
  • Work effectively with staff and students to promote a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Develop and implement strategies to de-escalate instances of challenging behaviour
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to provide a comprehensive support package for students
Requirements:
  • Enthusiasm, dedication, and motivation to work with SEND/SEMH students
  • A passion and desire to work with students with additional needs
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new learning environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students
  • A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
