About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Reporting Team within the Business Intelligence Department at Medway NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the need, expectation, delivery, and process of all regular and ad-hoc reporting within the Business Intelligence function.
  • Deputise for the Heads/Leads of Reporting, when necessary, and help manage a team of Junior Business Intelligence Analysts to ensure full delivery of regular and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Lead on three critical business areas, including ensuring all regular reporting, including key areas such as the IQPR, key internal/external reports, and Mandatory Return responsibilities are delivered and managed accordingly through appropriate processes and assurance.
  • Improve all aspects of reporting, following the Business Intelligence Team Rules of Engagement.
  • Support and deputise for the Business Intelligence Reporting Leads and support the divisional (and wider Trust) Business Intelligence needs through enhanced engagement, interaction, and training.
  • Ensure appropriate management of your workload, including any delegated work, Ad-Hocs, and FOIs (in addition to your regular reporting tasks) and deliver a high-quality, efficient, and effective service.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Equivalent relevant experience in an analyst role.
  • Specialist knowledge of Information Flows, NHS Data Standards, and all NHS Datasets/Returns.
  • Extensive knowledge of informatics/Business Intelligence methodologies.
  • Significant post-qualification experience working in a large multidisciplinary organisation, within a database/information environment.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the NHS, or wider health market, in an information analysis/management role.
  • Proven experience of managing datasets & visualising data.
  • Managing a busy workload with conflicting priorities.
  • Scoping and Presenting Business Intelligence Projects and new requests.
