Job Title: French Speaking International Account Manager

At Fortnum & Mason, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced French Speaking International Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our international wholesale business, you will be responsible for managing key client accounts, ensuring appropriate brand representation, and maximizing sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage key client accounts, including aspects of range presentation, operations, finance, and customer service.
  • Liaise with multiple parties across the company, including Buying, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Finance, Retail, and Technical departments.
  • Assist the Head of International in managing the business-critical path, ensuring agreed timelines are met regarding product presentations, pricing, and sample availability.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Visual Merchandising Teams to support new product or location launches and enhance the brand within the constraints of our Wholesale partners' corporate guidelines.
  • Problem-solve issues arising with customers regarding all aspects of account management.
  • Promote our partners' online activity to maximize sales, enhancing the brand's digital presence and social activity where appropriate.
  • Assist the Head of International in defining sales conditions with new clients, including order minima, payment terms, and exclusivity.
  • Work with the International Merchandiser to forecast customers' sales and report on performance to the Head of International.
  • Manage the journey of customer orders on time and assist with communication with clients regarding order issues and collections.
  • Liaise with Technical Support and Logistics for all export procedures, product registrations, and food labelling where relevant.
  • Closely work with the International Administration Assistant in relation to invoicing and customer debt.
  • Report into the Director of International on sales status against budget and all operational issues.
  • Assist in building sales and margin budgets.
  • Build strong, cordial, and professional relationships with team members and the wider business teams, in line with our brand standard, Achieve Together.
  • Grow the International Wholesale business within the parameters of strategy set by the business.
  • Provide exceptional levels of customer service, taking pride in delivering high-quality support.
  • Numerate, financially astute, with high-level Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective and commercial decision-maker, with a high degree of personal drive and motivation.
  • Proactive and flexible attitude towards change, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in International Wholesale and/or Franchising.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with customers, reinforcing our brand values and professionalism.
