Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Midwifery Practitioner to join our team as an Operational Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, leading the midwifery team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the midwifery team and provide operational coordination to ensure the effective redeployment of staff to meet the needs of women and babies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes, working closely with the midwifery leadership team and other stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, promoting their development and career progression.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Experience of leading or managing a team in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of midwifery practice and the ability to apply this in a leadership role.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
