About the Role

The Database Engineering Team is a key service provider to all RWEST development teams, offering expertise in various DB engines like Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and more. As a Team Lead, you will consult with RWEST application and platform teams on database architecture and operational questions in the AWS Multi-Account environment.

The team supports over a thousand databases, providing 24/7 support and requiring an expanded team size. Your responsibilities will include building and leading a team of 6 internal members, implementing Agile delivery, and planning automation in regular tasks according to DevOps practices.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 6 internal members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Develop and implement a sustainable Agile delivery approach, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
  • Design and implement automation in regular tasks, adhering to DevOps best practices.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, prioritizing their requirements and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Oversee the team's career development, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Ensure all necessary resources and training are available for the team to deliver high-standard support services.
  • Act as the primary contact for IT services delivered to RWEST, ensuring tasks are planned, prioritized, and completed on time.
  • Manage the team's priorities, balancing ongoing IT requirements with business needs.
  • Define and implement the team strategy, aligning with business requirements and ensuring successful project deliveries.
  • Manage the team budget, adhering to agreed targets and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
