About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MS SQL Database Engineer to join our team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our SQL Server infrastructure to ensure high performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database solutions to meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server infrastructure, including clustering, high availability, and AlwaysOn Availability Groups
  • Monitor and report on database performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions meet business needs
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SQL Server technologies and best practices
Requirements
  • Proven experience in SQL Server administration and development
  • Strong understanding of database design, implementation, and maintenance
  • Experience with clustering, high availability, and AlwaysOn Availability Groups
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
