As a non-stock holding authority, Hertsmere faces considerable challenges in addressing local housing demands. In alignment with the objectives of the Homelessness Reduction Act, we are seeking to fill this position within our prevention team to enhance service delivery.
This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic Housing Team dedicated to effectively implementing homelessness prevention strategies. You will have the chance to contribute to service development and propose innovative solutions to tackle upcoming challenges.
We are in search of a motivated and proactive individual with a solid understanding of housing policies and related legislation. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills to manage a diverse and complex workload. A positive demeanor and a compassionate approach towards clients are essential. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities are crucial for assisting individuals facing housing difficulties.
The Housing Stability Officer will collaborate with a small team of professionals tasked with fulfilling the Council's obligations to actively prevent and alleviate homelessness.
While relevant qualifications and experience in a housing-related field are preferred, we are open to providing training opportunities for candidates with limited formal qualifications.
This position is offered as a full-time, fixed-term contract for a duration of 14 months, comprising 36 hours per week.
