Role Overview:

This is a remarkable opportunity for a recent graduate to engage full-time in a 2-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) aimed at enhancing operational management capabilities. The objective is to empower the organization to adaptively and digitally scale its operations, thereby seizing new prospects within the Aerospace, Defence, and Space industries.

As part of this role, you will be employed and guided by an academic team from the University, working in a hybrid model that combines remote work with on-site collaboration.

Required Qualifications:

We seek candidates with a 2:1 Hons degree (or equivalent experience) in Operations Management, Business Technology, or a related field, with a focus on business process engineering, digital optimization, and continuous improvement.

An MSc or an additional qualification in an Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering) would be beneficial.

Application Criteria:

  • A thorough understanding of business process reengineering.
  • Familiarity with digital solutions applicable to the manufacturing sector, including Computer Aided Design/Manufacturing, I4.0 & I5.0 technologies, and digital simulation tools for predicting manufacturing performance.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing and operational settings.
  • A keen interest and aptitude for digital technologies, including software applications, industrial protocols, databases, data transformation, dashboarding, and statistical process control.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to self-motivate.
  • A high level of motivation with a desire to acquire and apply new knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and information management skills.
  • Willingness to undergo necessary background checks prior to commencement.

For over 45 years, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) have facilitated innovation for growth by linking businesses with the expertise required to realize their innovative ideas. Currently, around 800 businesses, 100 knowledge bases, and over 800 graduates are involved in KTPs, forming collaborative partnerships that create positive impacts and drive innovation.
