Senior Buyer Job Description

At Adecco UK Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our procurement team. As a Senior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic and operational decision-making by providing accurate information and sound commercial judgement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forecasting and Demand Planning: Develop and maintain accurate forecasts of demand for services and products, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Supplier Sourcing and Management: Conduct research to identify and engage with top-tier suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with legal terms.
  • Market Intelligence and Analysis: Continuously gather, analyse, and interpret market intelligence to inform procurement strategies and drive business growth.
  • Procurement Operations and Metrics: Assist in managing day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring key metrics are delivered and supply chain meets ethical and net carbon plans.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Develop and implement strategies to drive supplier performance, negotiate supply agreements, and ensure compliance with organisational policies.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Analyse data to produce reports on spending and savings, identifying areas for improvement and informing procurement strategies.
  • Procurement Risk Management: Identify and assess procurement risks, developing strategies to mitigate them and ensure business continuity.
Requirements:
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Good knowledge of inventory and supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Procurement Experience: Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of delivering results-driven procurement strategies.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
