About the Role

21 Health and Social Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our team in the Scottish Borders. As a Children's Social Work Professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage complex cases involving children and families
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare and education services, to provide a comprehensive support network for children and families
  • Conduct thorough assessments and investigations to identify the needs of children and families
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and other stakeholders on child protection and welfare issues
Requirements
  • UK-recognised professional Social Work qualification and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council
  • Minimum of two years post-qualified social work experience, with a focus on child protection and children's services
  • Experience of working in a Children and Families Team or on a statutory social work placement
  • Child Protection accreditation and experience
  • Familiarity with the Mosaic recording system
