Job Title: Social Worker - C&F Duty Team

Location: Langlee Centre, Galashiels

Hours: 4 x 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary*: £22.98 - £24.82 per hour / £41,.13 - £45,.13 per annum

Qualifications: Appropriate Social Work qualification at degree or diploma level (DipSW).

Requirements: PVG Adults & Children – we will do this for you SSSC registration.

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.**

The Role

As a result of significant investment, and in order to provide timely, effective, empowering and relationship-based responses to children, young people and families, we are looking to expand a number of Children and Families Social Work teams in Scottish Borders.

The initial expansion includes a focus on:

A shift towards prevention and early intervention, introducing an increased and more responsive staffing model within the Duty Intake Team.

As part of this service expansion, we are looking to recruit:

Social Workers, who will be responsible for undertaking initial assessment of risk and need, including cases which meet the threshold for child protection measures, and working directly with children, young people and their families.
