Job Description

Job Title: Resource Worker - Family Placement Team 

Location: Paton street, Galashiels

Hours: 3 x 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary*: £17.10 - £18.76 per hour / £31,.15 - £34,.64 pro rata per annum 

Qualifications: An HNC/SVQ in Social Care or Childcare and Education or previous experience and a commitment to undertake such training.

Requirements: PVG Adults & Children – we will do this for you

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.**

The Role

As a result of significant investment, and in order to provide timely, effective, empowering and relationship-based responses to children, young people and families, we are looking to expand a number of Children and Families Social Work teams in Scottish Borders.

The initial expansion includes a focus on:

Enhancing support to kinship and foster carers to ensure that wherever possible children remain within Scottish Borders in safe, loving homes.

As part of this service expansion, we are looking to recruit:

Resource Workers, who will be responsible for assisting social workers in the recruitment, training and support of carers by providing practical help and advice.
