Job Summary:

Ideal Personnel & Recruitment Solutions Limited is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance of Equipment: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of production equipment, including printers, binders, conveyor belts, cutters, distribution equipment, laminators, and converters.
  2. Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in production equipment, using advanced diagnostic skills and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  3. Preventative Maintenance: Plan and execute preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
  4. Liaison with Suppliers: Communicate with suppliers of production equipment to source spare parts and maintain stock levels of critical parts.
  5. Collaboration with Production Team: Liaise with the Production Manager and Shift Leaders to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless operations.
  6. Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety guidelines and regulations, and report any accidents or potential hazards to the Line Manager immediately.
  7. Additional Responsibilities: Assist with general operations, facilities maintenance, and production areas as required, and participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic skills in electrical and mechanical systems, with knowledge of 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and City and Guilds 2382 qualification desirable.
  • Experience: 2 years of equipment maintenance experience in a fast-paced production environment, with a strong electronics background and 3 years of general mechanical knowledge and electrical knowledge.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and strong organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a focus on maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
