Tax Director

Armstrong Knight is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Tax to join our team. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to our clients and managing a portfolio of high net worth individuals and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation and review of personal and corporate tax returns for a wide range of clients.
- Assisting with the management of client portfolios and providing exceptional client service.
- Communicating with clients via email and telephone and being a point of contact for tax-related matters.
- Preparation of capital gains tax calculations and liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Assisting with HMRC enquiries into personal and corporate tax returns and disclosures.
- Preparation and review of forms P11D and preparing corporation tax computations and LLP income tax computations.
- Training and supervision of junior team members and involvement in the management of the team.
- Preparation of fees for clients and working with managers and directors on tax advisory projects.
- Preferably ATT/CTA Part or Fully Qualified, however candidates with ACA/ACCA/STEP or QBE who have been working in tax long-term gaining the relevant skills.
- Strong literacy and numerical skills and a strong base of experience in a mixed tax role.
- Strong IT skills, including Excel and ideally Iris, and a minimum of 3 years practice experience.
- Good up-to-date technical knowledge, including recent developments within the tax arena, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, be commercially aware, and willing to learn new skills.
- Adaptable to change, self-motivated, and positive and committed to the firm in dealings with both clients and team members.
