About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and highly-motivated exercise physiologist to join our team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. We are seeking an individual with a strong interest in Cardiac Rehabilitation and prior experience of patients managing long-term conditions in a gym environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Conducting clinical screening and exercise assessments for individuals with cardiac disease and related comorbidities.
- Supervising patients during the exercise component of the cardiac rehabilitation programme.
- Monitoring, recording, and progressing patients' exercise programmes in accordance with agreed guidelines, protocols, and treatment regimes.
- Supporting senior exercise staff to ensure that the exercise component of the cardiac rehabilitation programme is clinically effective and of high quality.
- Preparing and delivering holistic health promotion and patient education for individuals attending cardiac rehabilitation and their carers.
- Providing advice to patients and carers in a variety of settings.
- Participating in local service audit, evaluation, and research.
