Job Title: Cardiac Rehabilitation Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cardiac Rehabilitation Practitioner to join our team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and skilled professional to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Cardiac Rehabilitation Practitioner, you will be responsible for conducting clinical screening and exercise assessments for individuals with cardiac disease and related comorbidities.

You will also supervise patients during the exercise component of the cardiac rehabilitation program, monitor and record patient progress, and provide holistic health promotion and patient education. Additionally, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct clinical screening and exercise assessments for individuals with cardiac disease and related comorbidities.
  2. Supervise patients during the exercise component of the cardiac rehabilitation program.
  3. Monitor and record patient progress.
  4. Provide holistic health promotion and patient education.
  5. Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and communication.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. BACPR Specialist Exercise Instructor Level 4 Cardiac Qualification.
  2. Knowledge of the aetiology, pathophysiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, and management of cardiac disease and its related comorbidities.
  3. Experience in the management of individuals with cardiac disease and related comorbidities.
