Job Title: Development Underwriter - Property Owners Specialist

Location: Flexible

Full/Part Time: Full Time

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum

We are seeking a seasoned and experienced Development Underwriter with expertise in Property Owners to join our dynamic team at Lawes Consulting Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting and a deep understanding of property owners underwriting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and evaluate property owners insurance risks to determine potential profitability and growth opportunities
  • Underwrite new and renewal property owners business within designated authority levels, ensuring compliance with industry guidelines and best practices
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with brokers and clients, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration
  • Engage with brokers and clients to gather necessary information for underwriting, ensuring accurate and informed decision-making
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure underwriting guidelines are followed, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Monitor industry trends and market developments to make informed underwriting decisions, staying ahead of the curve
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and brokers, ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of underwriting experience with a focus on property owners, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong knowledge of property owners underwriting guidelines and practices, with a deep understanding of industry regulations
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with a strong focus on building relationships and resolving conflicts
  • Cert CII preferred but not a requirement, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
