Job Title: Advanced Care Practitioner Lead

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Care Practitioner to lead our team and drive the development of advanced practice within our Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, delivery, and implementation of the Advanced Practice strategy and workforce plan for the Chief Nursing Officer. They will work independently at a senior level in the direct delivery of high-quality care within their own specialist field, making critical clinical decisions based on advanced clinical skills assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the development of a Trust Advanced Practice Strategy that reflects local, regional, and national priorities.
  • Develop and actively manage strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide professional leadership, governance, and expertise relating to Advanced Practice throughout the Trust.
  • Develop the AP long-term workforce plan in partnership with stakeholders.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a Master's level in Advanced Care Practice, be a Non-medical Prescriber, and have Teaching and Assessing practice. They will also have extensive experience of teaching and training of medical, nursing, AHP, or midwifery staff, and a proven track record at a senior level in an acute hospital environment.
