Job Title: Corporate Lead Advanced Care Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Lead Advanced Care Practitioner to join our team at George Eliot Hospital. As a senior leader, you will play a crucial role in supporting the provision of high-quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, delivery, and implementation of the Advanced Practice strategy and workforce plan for the Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Work independently at a senior Advanced Care Practitioner level in the direct delivery of high-quality care within your own specialist field, making critical clinical decisions based on advanced clinical skills assessment.
  • Develop and actively manage strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and encourage a network of mutual support.
  • Lead the development of a Trust Advanced Practice Strategy that reflects local, regional, and national priorities, supported by the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Develop the Advanced Practice long-term workforce plan in partnership with stakeholders, identifying interdependencies across projects/functions and potential impacts on the wider organisation.
Requirements:
  • Clinical Professional Registration
  • Master's level in Advanced Care Practice
  • Non-medical Prescriber
  • Teaching and Assessing practice
  • Evidence of formal management/leadership training
  • Postgraduate research
Personal Qualities:
  • Ability to network both internally and externally
  • Ability to chair meetings
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Registered with the NMC or HCPC with evidence of personal and professional commitment to CPD in line with revalidation requirements.
  • Extensive experience of teaching and training of medical, nursing, AHP, or midwifery.
  • A proven track record at a senior level in an acute hospital environment, including quality improvement initiatives.
  • Experience of recruitment and retention issues, workforce planning, and capacity management.
