We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our General Adult Community team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with complex mental health needs.
Main Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Manage, appraise, and provide professional supervision to junior medical staff.
- Ensure junior medical staff operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant.
- Participate in service and business planning activity for the locality and the whole mental health service.
- Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with complex mental health needs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training to medical staff.
- Participate in continuous professional development to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with best practices.
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- CCT in Psychiatry or inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry.
- Experience of working with service users who have complex needs within general adult psychiatry.
- Excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Experience of organizing and overseeing psychotherapy training programs for psychiatry trainees.
