Consultant Adult Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing, appraising, and supervising junior medical staff, ensuring they operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant.
They will also participate in service and business planning activities for the locality and, as appropriate, for the whole mental health service.
Key Responsibilities- Attend and participate in the academic programme of the Trust and the team, including lectures and seminars as part of the internal CPD programme.
- Maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council and comply with professional codes of conduct.
- Participate in an annual job plan review with the clinical manager to adapt to changes in service delivery.
- Work with local managers and professional colleagues to ensure the efficient running of services.
- Comply with the Trust's policies and support the medical director and other managers in financial management.
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- CCT in Psychiatry; OR inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry.
