Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in General Adult Community. About the RoleWe are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with expertise in General Adult Psychiatry to work in our community teams covering the NW quadrant of Hertfordshire. The post holder will be based at Waverley Road, St Albans, and will be responsible for managing, appraising, and supervising junior medical staff. The successful candidate will also participate in service and business planning activities for the locality and contribute to the development of our mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise junior medical staff, ensuring they operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant.
- Participate in service and business planning activities for the locality and contribute to the development of our mental health services.
- Deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training, and participate in continuous professional development.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- CCT in Psychiatry; OR inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry.
