About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at St Dominic's Catholic Primary School. As a Teaching Assistant - Additional Needs, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal needs of a child with special requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to the child, adapting to their needs on a daily basis to ensure access to a differentiated and personalized curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to deliver a tailored program of support to meet the child's targets.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, ensuring they feel welcome and informed about their child's progress.
  • Support the child's personal care and needs, including communication, in accordance with their Education Health Care Plan, and undergo relevant training as required.
