Key Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:
  • Act as the primary contact throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of contractual obligations during project handover and effectively communicate these to the broader team.
  • Develop project plans, outline major milestones, track overall progress, address challenges, and initiate corrective measures as needed; ensure project outcomes meet timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Review payment schedules and inform the Accounts team regarding payment requests at appropriate project phases.
  • Create weekly project status reports, update documentation as necessary, and take appropriate actions to meet deadlines.
  • Keep clients and internal teams informed of any modifications to the initial project specifications.
  • Oversee the production of components within the factory and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Resolve manufacturing issues collaboratively with team members, escalating to senior management when required, and leverage personal experience to propose innovative solutions.
  • Supervise the purchasing team for assigned projects to guarantee timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with various departments to plan and organize project-related activities.
  • Work with the broader team to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Partner with colleagues to uphold our commitment to customer satisfaction, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all deliverables.

Qualifications Required:
  • HNC, HND, or Degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a project engineering or management capacity.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying life cycles simultaneously.
  • Commercial awareness regarding resource utilization and decision-making implications.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Confidence in client-facing situations.
