Job Title: Credit Control Manager

We are seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to join our team at Pertemps Scotland. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and effective collection of debt, while maintaining excellent customer service and relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure timely and effective collection of debt.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiencies and customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and review processes on a regular basis.
  • Develop and implement training programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Drive the team to strive for excellence in quality and output.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients' finance teams to drive efficient and timely cash collection.
  • Monitor and chase overdue debtor balances in line with Credit Control Procedures and workflows.
  • Issue fees and receipts to clients at month-end and upon completion of property sales.
  • Take card payments via online portal.
  • Maintain and monitor the Credit Control inbox daily, escalating as required.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy for input into systems.
Requirements:
  • Credit control experience within the legal sector is desirable, but not essential.
  • Previous experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Excellent Excel skills, with the ability to produce pivot tables, vlookups, and other formulated data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under own initiative.
  • Team player with strong relations with clients and colleagues.
  • Positive attitude and good attention to detail.
