We are searching for a Therapist in Speech and Communication who embodies calmness, patience, and resilience. A consistent approach to supporting those in our care is essential.

We require a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with experience in supporting individuals with dysphagia, complex communication needs, disabilities, and visual impairments. You must hold a professional qualification and be registered with the HCPC and RCSLT. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for the individuals we support. Providing training and guidance to the staff team to improve each person's quality of life. Ensuring all documentation for the individuals we support is current, accurate, and evidence-based. Collaborating with families and other professionals regarding Speech and Language Therapy requirements. Relationship Building: Offering support and information to the individuals we assist and their families. Engaging professionally with colleagues and striving to establish and maintain productive relationships with all stakeholders. Essential Qualifications: Degree in Speech and Language Therapy; HCPC Registration; Membership in The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists; Comprehensive training in the assessment and treatment of eating and swallowing difficulties (dysphagia); Familiarity with the RCSLT Dysphagia Training & Competency Framework, aiming for or achieving level C.

The facility is a care home for young individuals living with severe, complex neurological disabilities and life-limiting conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering direct support to the individuals we assist. Ensuring adherence to best practices, including health and safety awareness. Collaborating positively with other agencies, families, and services to maintain a person-centered approach. Supporting individuals in meeting their unique needs. Participating in ongoing training and development.
