We are looking for a speech and language therapist to work 18.5 hours per week in Tadley, the salary is up to £29,000 depending on qualifications and experience. This is a rewarding role working with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

We require an experienced Speech and Language therapist who has knowledge and experience of supporting individuals with Dysphagia, complex communication, disabilities and sight loss. You must hold a professional qualification and be registered with HCPC and RCSLT. The main purpose of your role will be to:
You will carry out assessments, diagnosis and therapy for the individuals supported and provide training and advice for the staff team to enhance each person’s quality of life. You will ensure all documentation for the individuals is up to date, accurate and evidenced based and liaise with families and other professionals within the service and the organisation with regards to Speech and Language Therapy needs. You will provide support and information to the people supported and their families and interact effectively on a professional level with colleagues and seek to establish and maintain productive relationships with all.

**Qualifications**:
Degree in Speech and Language Therapy;
HCPC Registration;
Membership of The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists;
Fully trained in the assessment and treatment of eating and swallowing difficulties,(dysphagia);
Awareness of RCSLT Dysphagia Training & Competency Framework
- and be at, or working towards level C.

You will be working with 16 young people living with severe, complex neurological disabilities and life limiting conditions, the people supported and their families become an important part of your life and you share their journey with them. Most of the people supported have a high level of support on a 2:1 basis. Great communication skills and enthusiasm is essential for this role.

**Responsibilities**:
Providing direct support and ensure good working practice including understanding and awareness of health and safety.
To work positively with other agencies, parents, carers, and other services to ensure a person-centred approach.
To support our people to meet their individual needs
To participate in regular and ongoing training.
