**Job Summary**
Spinner Medical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our team in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical assessment and treatment to patients, as well as secondary consultation and guidance to other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment and treatment as a key member of the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide secondary consultation, guidance and advice to a range of other health care professionals and settings.
- Actively participate in the development and promotion of quality improvement activities.
- Participate in the education and supervision of junior medical colleagues (including medical students and psychiatric registrars in training).
Work Environment
Our mental health service is a leading provider of geriatric care, with a range of services including acute inpatient units, extended care inpatient units, prevention and recovery centers, and community-based units. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and colleagues, and contribute to the development of our service.
Requirements
- FRANZCP or equivalent qualifications in older person psychiatry.
- Excellent teamwork, collaborative and communication capabilities.
- Clinical experience relevant to the practice of older age psychiatry.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to teaching, continuing education, and research.
- Ability to provide supervision to clinical staff and participate in internal education programs.
- Willingness and ability to undertake continuous quality improvement projects.
- Willingness to be on the on-call roster.
