About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our team at Spinner Medical Recruitment. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical assessment and treatment to patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessment and treatment as a key member of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide secondary consultation, guidance and advice to a range of other healthcare professionals and settings.
  • Actively participate in the development and promotion of quality improvement activities.
  • Participate in the education and supervision of junior medical colleagues (including medical students and psychiatric registrars in training).

You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. Our team is committed to providing a safe and inclusive work environment that promotes collaboration and teamwork.

What We Offer
  • Remuneration up to AUD$430k per annum.
  • 76 hour fortnight.
  • Employer support towards permanent residency.

Requirements
  • FRANZCP or equivalent qualifications in older person psychiatry.
  • Excellent teamwork, collaborative and communication capabilities.
  • Clinical experience relevant to the practice of older age psychiatry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to teaching, continuing education, and research.
  • Ability to provide supervision to clinical staff and participate in internal education programs.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake continuous quality improvement projects.
