About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our team at Spinner Medical Recruitment. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical assessment and treatment to patients, as well as secondary consultation and guidance to other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Clinical Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Secondary Consultation and Guidance: Offer expert advice and guidance to other healthcare professionals, including medical students and psychiatric registrars.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in the development and promotion of quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Education and Supervision: Supervise junior medical colleagues and participate in education and training programs to ensure high-quality care.

What We Offer
  • Competitive Remuneration: Up to AUD$430k per annum, plus additional entitlements and benefits.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: FRANZCP or equivalent qualifications in older person psychiatry.
  • Experience: Clinical experience relevant to the practice of older age psychiatry, with a strong focus on teamwork, collaboration, and communication.
  • Skills: Excellent teamwork, collaborative, and communication capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
