Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

Location: Flexible working arrangements available, including hybrid and remote options.

Salary: Competitive salary package, including £57,000 + depending on skills and experience.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our Financial Systems and Control Capability centre at Head Office. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support to both the Maritime and Land Sectors with Finance Modernisation activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate business processes to create and manage data and activities in business ERP's, ensuring financial control and compliance.
  • Provide support to internal and external customers in the application of established policies, processes, and procedures, including support to external audit.
  • Prepare, review, and approve information to ensure quality, presenting to various stakeholders as required.
  • Support the improvement and transformation of balance sheet assurance activities.
  • Support balance sheet assurance for capital expenditure and stock processes, applying challenge and judgment as required.
  • Prepare and present accurate reporting information for various stakeholders, including regular provision of bespoke information to drive outcomes.
  • Support the stand-up of finance taxonomy activity, including support to global process owners in process setup, review, and improvement.
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified accountant with a recognized professional qualification.
  • Good knowledge of end-to-end processes, particularly balance sheets, R2R, and P2P, and how effective controls need to be applied.
  • Understanding of governance and controls environment, including key reference documents and accounting standards.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, accounting policies, and how they apply to financial data and processes.
