Position Overview: Onboard Host

Company: Rail Gourmet, a leading provider of catering and onboard services in the British Railway Industry.

Role Summary: We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fulfill the role of Onboard Host for TransPennine Express (TPE). This position is available in both full-time and part-time capacities.

Working Hours: Full Time (40 hours) & Part Time (weekends only).
Shifts: Rotational shifts between 5 am and midnight, including some weekends.
Compensation: £12.00 per hour plus commission.

About Us: With over 40 service centres across the UK and a workforce exceeding 1000 employees, Rail Gourmet is committed to delivering exceptional service consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 'at seat trolley service' on TPE trains, ensuring superior customer service, managing inventory, and processing transactions.
  • Travel on designated trains, assist passengers, achieve sales targets independently, and meet contractual obligations.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock and transactions, comply with hygiene and safety regulations, and support management initiatives.
  • Perform Service Centre duties as required, engage with passengers, provide information, and address various needs, including details on services, ticketing, platforms, and potential disruptions.
  • Eligibility to claim up to 50 rover tickets for the TPE network for family and friends.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to perform certain tasks or work specific shifts.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, including long hours and varying shifts.
