Key Responsibilities:

As a Commercial / Project Assistant, you will receive robust support from a team of experienced Quantity Surveyors, Managers, and Directors, providing a valuable learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include assisting the surveying team with the Quantity Surveying process, which involves:

Pre-contract Services:
  • Measuring
  • Producing pricing documents (Bill of Quantities)
  • Tendering – liaising with suppliers to gather estimates based on provided measurements and quantities
Post-contract Services:
  • Managing and administering payments to subcontractors
  • Overseeing changes or variations that arise during the project
  • Monitoring project expenditures
Final Accounts:
  • Assisting in the preparation and agreement of project accounts
  • Supporting the creation of financial reports as needed
  • Helping with the preparation of final accounts and claim documentation
Required Skills and Experience:
  • While prior experience in the quantity surveying field is advantageous, we value enthusiasm, reliability, and a strong commitment to your role and the organization.
  • A solid understanding of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is essential, along with meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills are crucial, as you will interact with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, fostering productive working relationships.
