A reputable construction consultancy, Ashbrittle, is in search of a skilled Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to enhance their committed team.

This role offers a collaborative atmosphere where your skills will be pivotal in the successful execution of a variety of projects.


As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will engage in a dynamic and diverse role, either independently or as part of a team, taking charge of commercial management across various projects.


Your Responsibilities:


Assist in all facets of quantity surveying and estimating, from pre-contract to post-contract services, including the preparation of final accounts and claims according to client specifications.


Key Duties:

  • Execute estimating services, including Bill of Quantities production
  • Deliver quantity surveying services
  • Offer guidance on commercial and financial matters
  • Provide advice on procurement and contracts
  • Optimize value recovery, manage costs, and oversee cash flow on assigned projects
  • Commercially manage and oversee subcontractor packages
  • Safeguard the Company's contractual interests on projects
  • Prepare final accounts and claims documentation
  • Contribute to business development initiatives
Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of four years of experience in the Quantity Surveying field
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Ideally, possess or aspire to achieve CICES or RICS accreditation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with planning software
  • Strong communication skills and ability to foster good working relationships
  • Motivated, dependable, and dedicated to your role and the organization
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • A valid driving license
