Position Overview

InterQuest Group is seeking a skilled Project Management Office (PMO) Lead to oversee the effective execution of various initiatives within a dynamic financial services environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful implementation of multiple projects that align with the overarching PMO strategy and the broader organizational objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Serve as the PMO Lead for diverse global projects, ensuring adherence to established Project Management Standards.
  • Communication with Stakeholders: Organize and lead project meetings, maintain essential project documentation, and facilitate clear communication with all stakeholders involved.
  • Strategic Project Planning: Develop and implement detailed project plans, defining key deliverables, establishing execution strategies, overseeing task management, and controlling integrated changes.
  • Resource Allocation: Identify and manage the necessary human and financial resources for successful project execution.
  • Performance Monitoring: Prepare and present project performance reports to relevant stakeholders, including Program Managers and Project Sponsors.
  • Risk and Issue Mitigation: Proactively identify, document, and address project risks and issues, ensuring that action plans are developed and tracked to resolution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Recognize and address stakeholder needs, ensuring their requirements are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Finalization: Confirm project completion with Program Managers, Project Sponsors, and Business Owners.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a PMO role, preferably within the financial services sector, with a focus on process improvement and IT project delivery.
  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of business and functional domains.
  • Certifications: Knowledge of PMI's PMBOK Guide or similar frameworks; certifications such as PMP, MSP, or PRINCE2 are advantageous.
  • Vendor Management Skills: Proven ability to effectively manage external vendors.
  • Competencies: Strong strategic and business management capabilities, experience in managing complex, enterprise-wide projects, and excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with key performance metrics and processes in areas such as Finance, Operations, Sales, and Marketing.

Additional Attributes:

  • Strategic Vision: Ability to articulate and implement IT strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Influence and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to engage and gain support from key stakeholders, particularly across various departments.
  • Project Management Credentials: Formal qualifications such as ITIL, APM, Prince2, MSP, or PMP, along with asset management experience, will be beneficial.
