About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our internal civil construction team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our design and construct team, you will be responsible for delivering civil design for multiple projects ranging from £50k to £10m in value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop planning applications, building regulations, and detailed design for highways, drainage, structures, and construction drawings.
  • Produce drawing packages including design calculations for all stages of development to provide the most cost-effective solution.
  • Land and building surveying.
  • Provide structural design advice and expertise to construction projects.
  • Support the delivery team and client to fulfill its designer's responsibilities under CDM.
  • Checking compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Degree/HNC/HND in Civil/Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Excellent understanding of the 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Practical design experience in construction within the industrial sector (client or contractor biased).
  • AutoCAD proficient.
  • An ability to design from first principles.
