About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems and Technology Leader to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment. As the IT Business Systems Manager, you will play a key role in leading the planning, implementation, and management of our business systems to ensure they meet the strategic goals of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement a Strategic Plan: Develop and implement a strategic plan for developing our business systems in line with the wider business strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  2. Identify Opportunities for Technology Advancement: Identify opportunities for leveraging technology to improve business processes and performance, and develop strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
  3. Collaborate with Business Units: Collaborate with business units to understand their needs and translate them into system requirements, ensuring that business systems meet the needs of stakeholders.
  4. Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on system performance, project status, and strategic initiatives.
  5. Lead and Manage IT Projects: Lead and manage IT projects, from conception through to implementation and support, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  6. Project Management: As project manager, be responsible for the creation and direction of the project team, holding regular status meetings and tracking progress against the plan.
  7. Steering Committee Chair: Chair routine steering committees for strategic IT projects, reporting status to the management board and other key stakeholders.
  8. System Administration: Oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of business systems, including COINs ERP, Cascade HR, and other enterprise applications.
  9. System Integrity and Security: Ensure system integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  10. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, embedding a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  11. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service levels are met.
  12. Continual Service Improvement: Embed a culture of continual service improvement, staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
  13. System Enhancements: Recommend and implement enhancements to existing systems and processes.
Requirements
  1. ERP Implementation Experience: Strong knowledge and experience with leading ERP implementations.
  2. Finance and Procurement Experience: Strong understanding and experience of finance and procurement processes.
  3. IT Management Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a related role.
  4. Business Systems Experience: Proven experience in managing business systems and enterprise applications.
  5. Professional Certifications: Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Agile, or relevant business system certifications.
