About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Installation Project Engineer to join our Fire & Security Systems division in the North of England. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for successfully installing best-in-class fire alarms and integrated security systems, while maintaining tight cost controls.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Installation Management: Undertake the management of electronic security and fire systems installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Commissioning and Testing: Commission systems when required and verify the detailed accuracy of equipment specifications at the pre-installation stage.
  3. Site-Specific Planning: Develop and manage site-specific method statements and risk assessments, ensuring Health and Safety requirements are upheld.
  4. Technical Compliance: Ensure all installations meet legal regulations and manage compliance with quality specifications and standards.
  5. Customer Liaison: Liaise with customers and contractors at a local/site level, ensuring customer satisfaction and providing adequate training.
  6. System Testing and Documentation: Ensure systems are properly tested and commissioned, and assist in the production of O&M documentation.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of fire and security systems, including projects exceeding £100K.
  2. Technical Skills: Intermediate IT skills, including familiarity with MS Office and fire system-related software.
  3. Product Knowledge: Experience of IP CCTV/Access Control/Intruder Alarm Systems, including Gent by Honeywell, Vigilon, and Vigilon Voice product ranges.
  4. Project Management: Management of electrical contractors and other subcontractors, with practical experience in managing projects to a budget.
  5. Travel and Availability: Willingness to work varying hours as necessary and travel nationally, with a current/valid driving license.
