Job Title: Fire Alarm Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Project Engineer to join our team in the North of England. As a key member of our Fire & Security Systems division, you will be responsible for successfully installing best-in-class fire alarms and integrated security systems, while maintaining tight cost controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage electronic security and fire systems installations, ensuring compliance with quality specifications and standards.
  2. Commission systems as required, verifying the accuracy of equipment specifications at the pre-installation stage.
  3. Develop and manage site-specific method statements and risk assessments, upholding Health and Safety requirements.
  4. Liaise with customers and contractors at a local/site level, ensuring systems are properly tested and commissioned.
  5. Provide training to customers, maximizing satisfaction and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in installing and commissioning fire and security systems, including projects over £100K.
  2. Intermediate IT skills, including familiarity with MS Office and fire system-related software.
  3. Experience with IP CCTV/Access Control/Intruder Alarm Systems, Gent by Honeywell, Vigilon, and Vigilon Voice product ranges.
  4. Management of electrical contractors and other subcontractors, with a focus on budget management.
  5. Valid driving license and willingness to work varying hours as necessary, with travel nationally.
