About the Role:

GDi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out structural engineering tasks for GDi and other companies within our portfolio.
  • Adhere to and comply with company engineering procedures, industry codes, international standards, and client requirements.
  • Approve, check, and prepare design/engineering documentation, including interdisciplinary documents where necessary.
  • Prepare engineering, construction, and equipment scopes.
  • Monitor progress of work and achieve completion within the agreed schedule and budget.
  • Monitor and report on progress and cost throughout the project.
  • Manage 3rd Party Suppliers in the execution of discipline engineering delivery, including specification of equipment, materials, and subcontract scopes.
  • Review supplier quotations and/or prepare technical bid assessments as required.
  • Produce documentation deliverables for inclusion in workpacks.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for junior members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in detailed design engineering and engineering checking/approval.
  • Competence in the use of analytical methods within the discipline, including theoretical background for analysis programs.
  • Competence in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Self-motivated with the drive and initiative to carry out projects according to plan and the ability to quickly adapt in a fast-changing environment.
