GLL is seeking a Recreation Centre Team Leader to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our facility, you will demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for the leisure sector. The role of a recreation centre team leader is diverse and engaging, involving tasks such as opening the facility, preparing equipment, and ensuring a seamless experience for our patrons. During peak hours, you will oversee operations, address customer inquiries, manage your team, and ensure the smooth functioning of all amenities including the gym and swimming pool.

As a recreation centre team leader, you will be quick-thinking, composed under pressure, and possess excellent interpersonal skills, making you a natural fit for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a proactive and positive demeanor. Uphold a welcoming and professional atmosphere for customers and the community. Assist patrons in utilizing the facilities and promote maximum engagement with the centre. Prepare areas and equipment for various activities as needed. Ensure effective management of daily operations, including security, cleanliness, customer oversight, and equipment inspections. Implement all safety and operational protocols for the swimming pool. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and assist in implementing improvement strategies for energy efficiency and resource management. Supervise all staff on duty, delegating tasks effectively and performing additional responsibilities as required. Ensure that all team members are adequately supervised and that all personnel management processes are adhered to (e.g., recruitment, attendance tracking, qualification maintenance, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.).
