Role Overview: As an integral part of the merchandising team, you will assist in the operational aspects of the buying office, contributing significantly to the achievement of global sales objectives through meticulous planning, analytical insights, and effective stock management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Merchandising team in achieving seasonal sales and profitability goals aligned with the overall business strategy.
  2. Collaborate with the Buying team to develop merchandise assortments that cater to diverse customer demographics across various regions, offering suggestions for enhancements to optimize sales and profitability.
  3. Leverage weekly performance metrics to proactively manage your designated area and enhance profit margins, under the mentorship of the Merchandiser.
  4. Project sales and inventory levels using the department's WSSI (Weekly Sales, Stock, and Intake) to ensure that ongoing business aligns with the overarching merchandising strategy.
  5. Work in conjunction with the retail team to guarantee timely product deliveries and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  6. Act as a representative for the Merchandiser in various trading and planning discussions, both within the organization and with external partners.
  7. Foster robust relationships with vendors to capitalize on trading opportunities.
  8. Compile weekly reports that provide insightful analysis to guide the team and inform broader business strategies.
  9. Contribute to the planning process by delivering analytical support for range planning, ensuring alignment with key strategic objectives.
  10. Provide mentorship and identify training needs for team members.
  11. Monitor and assess the performance of your direct reports, including conducting and presenting performance evaluations.

Essential Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel is crucial for this role.
