About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biodiversity Consultant to join our team at Climate17 Ltd. As a Senior Biodiversity Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in addressing ESG risks and opportunities on international projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project delivery and business development in the area of biodiversity
  • Manage project teams, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution and exceed client expectations
  • Carry out or play a lead support role in site-based biodiversity surveys and assessments for international projects
  • Work with and apply major biodiversity safeguards and standards, such as IFC Performance Standard 6 and the Equator Principles
  • Develop and implement biodiversity management and monitoring plans, biodiversity action plans, and other related initiatives
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role working on international biodiversity projects
  • Undergraduate degree in environmental, biological, biophysical, or social sciences (post-graduate degree preferred but not essential)
  • Deep understanding of key global biodiversity frameworks, global goals, and key biodiversity standards
  • Strong technical background and project delivery in ecological services, terrestrial and/or marine biodiversity, and/or ecosystem services
