Bovey Tracey, Devon, United Kingdom Eden Hotel Collection Full time

*Recognized for Excellence in Employee Engagement & Wellbeing*

Are you seeking a valuable internship within the Front of House sector of a premier guest-oriented establishment? If you are currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management or Travel and Tourism, our 6-month+ placements offer an ideal opportunity for students eager to enhance their careers with substantial experience in the luxury hotel industry.

Responsibilities:

Our placements are designed to complement your academic pursuits, whether you are studying Hospitality or a related Business degree. Opportunities are available in Food & Beverage, Front Office, or a customized placement that encompasses various hotel departments, with extended periods in F&B or Front Office depending on your placement duration.

In the Front Office, you will be part of our Reception, General Assistant, or Porterage teams, ensuring a warm welcome and creating memorable first and last impressions for our guests.

This practical role will allow you to enhance your skills through interactions with guests and team members, while you shadow experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibilities.

Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you should be enthusiastic about working for a hotel collection that is committed to delivering exceptional experiences for both guests and staff, known for its high standards of customer service.

Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to listen and build strong relationships with colleagues, are essential.

A positive attitude, a good sense of humor, and a genuine passion for the hospitality industry are crucial. While prior customer-facing experience in a similar setting is advantageous, it is not mandatory; we value your enthusiasm, dedication, and eagerness to learn to support your education and future career in hospitality.

Work Environment:

You will be part of a dynamic and dedicated team, where a strong desire to learn is expected. The role requires a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week across 5 days, with early shifts starting from 6 am and late shifts concluding from 11 pm onwards. Be prepared for regular weekend shifts, as our hotels experience peak activity from Friday to Sunday.

Benefits:

We take pride in providing excellent working environments, with our teams at the core of our operations. Our values-driven approach is centered on Heart, Honesty, Spirit, and Team, developed 'by our people for our people'.

Our exclusive benefits platform includes:

Enhanced annual leave – 31 days, increasing to 33 days with service; Equitably distributed Service Charge/Gratuities paid monthly; Live-in accommodation options available;
Discounts and cashback on a wide range of retailers, gyms, dining, and utilities; Access to wellness resources, including recipes, fitness videos, and financial management tools; Cycle to Work and Electric Vehicle Lease Schemes; Health plans covering dental, optical, and alternative care with 24-hour GP access; Discounted stays, spa treatments, and leisure access across our properties; Support through our Wellbeing Strategy addressing various aspects of employee welfare; Opportunities for growth through apprenticeships and tailored leadership programs; Enhanced family-friendly policies to support significant life events; Additional perks such as free parking, meals during shifts, and uniforms provided.

Our culture emphasizes collaboration, actively involving our teams in shaping our workplace through:

Regular feedback opportunities through surveys and forums;

A responsive approach to employee suggestions;

A commitment to sustainability and wellbeing with champions in every location;

We are dedicated to fostering an equitable workplace, encouraging applications from diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We are proud members of the Hoteliers Charter, committed to creating a supportive environment for all our team members.

Join us in our mission to provide exceptional hospitality experiences.
